Concord has one aim: to improve the quality of life of the people of Bangladesh. Our commitment to the environment is reflected in that aim. Concord set up Bangladesh’s first fully automated & environmentally friendly concrete brick/block plants and concrete batching plants. We try to incorporate environmentally friendly solutions in all our projects like green roofs, rain water harvesting, water treatment facilities, grey water recycling and energy efficient materials. We hope that we can set an example for other developers to follow in improving the quality of life of our fellow man.

Our Lake City project (over 4000 apartments) is the first project in Bangladesh constructed entirely of green environment-friendly bricks and blocks. The project has 60% open space and their own sewage treatment. This project was recognised by BID for its impact on reducing carbon footprint in commercial construction.

We have striven to educate the industry in the different aspects of green construction for decades. One of our biggest successes is that the Government has decided to abolish clay burnt brick in Bangladesh and switch to green bricks/blocks within the next five years.

Concord is the first company to set up environmentally friendly Hollow Block and Green Brick projects and introduce Ready-Mix Concrete commercially in Bangladesh.

Concord received the National Environment Award from the Government of Bangladesh for outstanding contribution to the environmental development of Bangladesh.
