National Monument At Savar

The National Martyrs’ Memorial (Bengali: জাতীয় স্মৃতি সৌধ Jatiyo Sriti Soudho) is the national monument of Bangladesh, set up in the memory of those who died in the Bangladesh War of Independence of 1971. The monument is located in Savar, about 35 km northwest of the capital, Dhaka. It was designed by Syed Mainul Hossain and built by Concord in 1982 in an astounding 89 days.
